We need it around to remember to never become complacent - if we didn't hear it's voice we'd imagine that it doesn't exist.

My view of Mmusi`s win being announced. Unfortunately I was off to the side, as I had to assist Mmusi and the other leaders to get from the stage to the media area.

Great news. Now to await the Racist comments from the peanut gallery. I remember Julius Malema calling the DA's Lindiwe Mazibuko, a "tea girl" while he was still leader of the ANC's youth league. No doubt we can expect more of the same for Maimane from the ANC and EFF.

ANC already commented this morning that this appointment does not matter as the party is still a racist party...... really how many do you non blacks do you have in your upper ranks mr ANC?

If I was the Da I would manufacture this news. Sadly black South Africans have a tendency to see as "right" whatever spites whites. And so long as there is a perception that this is a cynical move to attract blacks votes to "the white party" it won't have the desired effect. So it can only help the Da to manufacture the idea that some "bloodletting" has been done.
