Issue: Certain printing causes BSOD with stop code APC INDEX MISMATCH BSOD win32kfull.sys

Identifier: Update KB5000802 was recently installed.

Temp solution, uninstall KB5000802.

Just a heads up as the update was released a few days ago, MS has already nuked the update.

Queue the support calls :cautious:

My wifes laptop got updated to Windows 10 and it stopped her audio jack working as well as the touchpad. An update we did not really want and took a long time for me to fix.

Came here to post the same thing.

Can confirm that uninstalling the latest Windows Security update fixed the BSOD. ( KB5000802 )

thanks for the heads-up,

question, is there some central resource one can check to see if any problems been reported with an update?

I try my best to ensure I load a working Win, and not update unnessesarily.

I had this issue with a customer yesterday which I resolved. They called again this morning to say it is happening again and when I connected, the update was back. Hopefully it's gone for good now.

I made sure to pause updates for 7 days.

Pitty MS removed the option to defer updates for up to 365 days in build 2004>.

What a shame.

have you tried installing drivers for the touchpad & audio jack that are specific to windows 10?

Windows installed the latest drivers but they did not work. To get them working again I had to turn of windows managing those two drivers, getting the latest driver from the Dell website, and installing those instead.

After the update i have mic/speaker feedback on my laptop
WTF

Our one is quite a bit more frustrating, their release fixes some vulnerabilities in printing.
Users RDP into remote server, local PC reboots immediately upon executing our application(s)
Untick mapping the printer, everything works .. but they can't print..
Lovely..
Had to assist with rolling back the following which fixes it.. until patch Tuesday comes around again.. rinse and repeat
KB4584642
KB4578013
KB5000802
KB5000808
KB5000809
KB5000848

Switch off automatic updates via local group policy, to stop these updates keep trying to install, failing , eating up data.

Wasted hours the other morning trying to pause updates, but as I had already paused for max allowed for it continued to retry updating!!!!"#£#**#£*

Got the print BSOD - saw KB5000802 installed, uninstalled quality updates through the recovery console, its working now.

Trying the Windows Update blocker by Sodum on a couple of client machines and the work laptop.

Nothing as frustrating when out in the field configuring access points or wifi, when you switch on it says please wait configuring updates especially on a battery powered device. :cautious:
