Hey guys :)

So I am using 2 internet connections now, one ADSL and one HSDPA. The thing is that the 300+ Kbps download speed of HSDPA is far better than my stupid ADSL.

So I want to know if there is a download manager that has an option to specify which connection must be used to download. At the moment I am using Internet Download Manager but it doesn't have such an option. So every frigging time I want to download I have to disable my ADSL LAN connection first. See I use ADSL for browsing and HSDPA for downloading.

Any suggestions?

Thanx ;)

you can use adapter metric settings to give your hsdpa connection higher priority, meaning it will be the default route for all outgoing traffic...

then run a http proxy on localhost and configure the proxy to strictly use the adsl, and last but not least configure your browser to use the 127.0.0.1 proxy

sorry for off topic doublepost, but if u use hsdpa for downloads u must be swimming in money, lol

Yeah about that, let's just say I know people and stuff, FULL STOP. Don't ask.

Oh and thanx for the method, seems quite straight forward, I will definitively try! :)
