Make DA Circle Bigger!!!

IEC:
PTA at 13:07: ANC 61.46%, DA 32.49%, 490,206 votes just over 50% of 2006 totals.
JHB at 13:07: DA 48.8%, ANC 44.88%, 302,745 votes counted

The ID was hardly a party worth mentioning. They only had like 4% of the Cape Town vote, which DA needed to win the city. Overall DA is soaking up the votes of all the previous "small" parties, but mostly previous ANC voters.

So sad, especially when people that have kids don't vote, some parents really don't care about their kids future...

Joburg Metro at 13:13 - ANC 40.5% and DA 55.2% (2006: ANC 62.29% and DA 27.05%); 12% counted vs 2006 Total #LGEResults

I hope the DA takes Joburg, but I do think that from 27% to over 50% is wishful thinking... They still haven't counted everywhere yet, its possible they've only counted DA strongholds, and not yet moved on to places like Soweto.

Interestingly enough, people who live in Soweto told me that the DA have a LOT of support there.

50% of our office didn't vote

more than 90% of our office didn't vote!

We a rather large company and most of the employees are younger than 30 and did not vote.

After I voted yesterday went to the gf's house and her entire family was there and at least 10 people there didn't vote.

Getting so tired of these idiots that always have an excuse not to vote, but can constantly complain about the terrible service.

I know atleast 10 people who have not voted. it's shocking really!

only 2 had valid excuses. ( 1 didn't have a barcoded ID Book, stolen, she had an old book but IEC didn't allow it) the other was registered at the wrong voting station, although she voted at the voting station she went to in the last elections.

50% of our office didn't vote

I hope they all vote for anc .....:p

heard that on the radio yesterday as well. people from Alex said they are determined to vote as they are tired of the current lot and no service delivery. Better to go and vote for another party than not voting because your party is not delivering.

If Jhb stays that way, I'll shave my head :D
