Make DA Circle Bigger!!!

Cape Town at 12:50 - DA 81.4% and ANC 14.2% (2006: DA 41.85% and ANC 37.91%); 35% counted vs 2006 Total

I hope the DA takes Joburg, but I do think that from 27% to over 50% is wishful thinking... They still haven't counted everywhere yet, its possible they've only counted DA strongholds, and not yet moved on to places like Soweto.
I think the ANC might take Joburg this round, but by next round (2014, 2016), the DA will win outright.

Hopefully I'm wrong

Disregarding specific results there seems to be a positive increase in suppport for DA in almost every region ,....baby steps

Wrong about? :p

What you will find is that is that the DA will make inroads this time around.. they already have...

It seems as if the ANC has lost about 3 - 4% of the national vote in comparison to the last national elections....

Uh huh, I seem to get that impression as well. DA is starting to gain ground as more and more people become fed up with the ANC.

My reasoning is, how can they ANC lose only 3% nationals but lose 20% in these cities :/
IDK, the suspense is killing me, I really just want the final tally :(

MAN I hope they go under 60%, that would make my day!

Durbs is heading downhill... still a long way to go though.

Durban Metro at 12:57 - ANC 50.1% and DA 27.6% (2006: ANC 57.6% and DA 16.66%); 12% counted vs 2006 Total

Remember DA should get a lot of ID supporters, so they will obviously see an increase, or they SHOULD...

Some accounting has to be done for the number of voters who chose not to vote?

I know atleast 10 people who have not voted. it's shocking really!

only 2 had valid excuses. ( 1 didn't have a barcoded ID Book, stolen, she had an old book but IEC didn't allow it) the other was registered at the wrong voting station, although she voted at the voting station she went to in the last elections.

50% of our office didn't vote

Where do you guys get your results from? From what I read in the forums(or comments rather) on NEWS24 it seems like their interactive map is incorrect compared to the IEC website (which offcourse is 100% correct, duh!).
