Make DA Circle Bigger!!!

Hmmmm.. I wonder about this...

Is this IEC website just pointing ppl to files that are updated via some other method.....

Yeah, I just refresh the link that I posted. I don't use the elections.org.za as it is way too slow.

We still win guys! Think about it, this is the LAST election the ANC may have victory in Joburg, every election time we gain large margin, we are finally at margins end :D

We can't assume that as the gains will start to slow down once they starting maximising the minority races and will require significant inroads into black rural areas which I have faith they can do

What's the Cape Town direct link?

I switched GP with WC but CCT is not working for the last part...

EDIT: Stellenbosch has been easily won by the DA. 25/43 council seats, ANC obtained 11.

Final update from me for the day.

IEC website updates:
JHB @ 17:21: ANC 47.59% (up from 46.91%), DA 45.92% (down from 46.5%), 610,232 votes - neck and neck, slipping away from the DA
PTA @ 17:21: ANC 60.79% (down from 62.29%, DA 33.27% (up from 31.78%), 1,151,231 votes (way more votes than in 2006)

jhb 2006 results were:
anc: 62%
da: 27%
it looks like nationally, vs 2006, the anc has pretty much kept level and the da has sucked up the i.d. and cope votes.
i guess a stronger, more unified opposition is a good thing. even if it is a two horse race.

If the ANC gets less than 50% I hope the DA can form a coalition with the smaller parties to take control of JHB. It would have been awesome if they won it outright though.

Thanks. The ANC are still looking hopeless even after a million votes! :D

I envy you guys. Perhaps that bloke is right - there is an oversupply of Coloured people in the WC. We need them here in Jhb to help the DA win :D

Anyway this is the way I see it in Jhb. The DA have won the wards that are generally easier to run - i.e. the more developed wards. The ANC has their work cut out for them, seeing that they generally won the poorer wards. That means that they have the really kak work to do, and they'll probably be the ones facing the usual service delivery protests. So hopefully the next election the DA can gather even more support.

LOL... Cape Party got less than 700 votes. Total epic fail. Goes to show, no more than a handful of idiots vote for that party.

So how will DA help me if they control my area, since I've never noticed anything significant from them the last time they won our area? Everything is still crap here with service delivery and stuff

If we lose this by like 1 or 2%, then I'm going to throw a bitchfit at everyone I know who didn't vote :(
