They don't drop a great AI-generated game as promised in 2026, I doubt that it will be any better than Duke Nukem Forever. To be honest, I don't even think that they are working on games at all at this time.

I'm not that passionate. But AI or not, and these things are getting better and better, it's possible he could deliver neutral-to-pleasing to look at characters. Likely nothing will happen.

That is what Nvidia is doing with DLSS5 (amongst other neural stacks), and see how well that was received, even by the pro-AI everything has to be AI community.

No. It need not necessarily look like that. AI models can be made to make more feminine characters and stylised ones as well eg even cartoony anime ones or the sort that Koreans like to employ.

Heh? Nvidia is working on RTX Neural Shaders. That is AI usage in programmable shaders. The people over at Epic are piping this into their game engine that everyone loves to use. Unreal Engine 6 will be AI-assisted driven. There are so many demos on this. Nvidia has a dev YouTube channel:

The way some people within this industry speak, Unreal Engine 7 could as well be codeless. AI does the logic.

We may be speaking past each other. You may be referring to the earlier DLSS 5 footage which made the characters look worse to many people. But that can be modified. And you don't have to run through DLSS especially if you're not using an Nvidia GPU.

As long as game devs craft their work to appeal to players, the AI will follow that. Just look at how terrible AI rendered images were 2-3 years ago. Now in another 2-3 years, they may look indistinguishable from human created or human captured images.
