From SABC 2 News -

malema+hands+on+head

So far all the technical arguments about ancyl autonomy and the jurisdiction of the NDC have been given the boot.

First charge against 5 for disrupting ANC meeting - guilty.

Membership of the ANC for these 5 suspended for 2 years - but this sanction suspended for 3 years !

More to follow.

Charge against Sindiso Magaqa for statement against ANC minister Malusi Gigaba - guilty.

Membership suspended for 18 months - sanction suspended for 2 years.

A public apology demanded within 5 days.

So basically nothing as long as they be good little boys or at least don't get found guilty of something else in the next few years?

Julius was already on a suspended sentence, so he will be properly suspended.

We need some white UK reporter agent to provoke him :D

Charge against Floyd Shivambu - swearing at journalist & press statement re Botswana.

Guilty.

Membership suspended for 3 years - Shivambu is out.

I hope this happens, but reading the ruling more closely seems to suggest the suspension has been suspended... lol... go figure... so slap on the wrist for him and send him on his merry way.

A suspended suspension :D

Personally I won't hold my breath. Until something actually happens to him I remain skeptical of the ANC's intention to rein him in.

/tinfoil hat on

I see it as just another ploy to appease the public by giving them false hope while they laugh together over a few bottles of Blue Label behind closed doors.

/tinfoil hat off

EDIT:
I see he has been suspended now because of a previous suspended suspension. I will wait until the appeal (if he does appeal). Until then I remain skeptical, but cautiously optimistic.

Yeah this verdict is just for bursting into their meeting though. The disrepute one is still coming, and that's the suspended sentence that he's already on so he should be suspended for a year.

But yeah these suspended suspended sentences are a joke.

Still busy with the other charges against Malema.

It does not look good for him. Bye bye Comrade!

I have heard rumours that he is out on his ear for 5 years.
Shivambu is gone for 3 - told to vacate his position on the ancyl executive

*yawn*

I don't see how any of this suspension crap solves actual problems.
Sure, would be nice to get rid of these troglodytes (for a while anyway) but I think many are confusing cause and effect here.
Just wait for the next idiot to step up on the podium, it'll happen. The ANCYL still exists and they're not suddenly going to be more level-headed (read: non-retarded) just because of this.

This time it is not about anything more than removing the threat to Zuma at Manguang and his bid for another presidential credit card!
