I think people must be careful celebrating Malema's suspension from the ANC, firstly he will appeal and he might win, but I doubt he will win because the appeal committee (whatever it's called) is chaired by Cyril Ramaphosa. Malema is a fighter, he strives and wins against the grain. He's the type of guy that doesn't let things get in his way. He's the type of guy that will do almost anything to win, and he's the type of guy that would rather destroy South Africa than lose. So be careful guys, this suspension of him is nothing, this is only the beginning.

Trust us, we are very wary of this...

But this is just the first step, their are still the possibility of very serious criminal charges being laid against him....

But, what about the appeal?

I am very reluctant to get my hopes up just yet... :(
He can appeal but I think he appealed & lost in the suspended sentence from 2010. The only thing he can appeal is the length of the suspension on that one.

I feel sorry for that hot chick who's just hooked up with Malema. Talk about betting on a losing horse...:D
Tender money is going to dry up from now on.

Only thing I care about now is whether this means I'm going to hear more or less from this douche.
I have a feeling this is just another beginning for him, like Sly21C said.

How will he get around invoking the suspended sentence from 2010?

Well if the Hawks are in possession of the kind of evidence that the media has reported on recently his days are numbered. This doesn't even include the Public Protector who has asked parliament to put a freeze on government payments for all companies associated with Malema. Nobody is going to want to touch this guy with a barge pole if they are serious about their political aspirations.

My only fear is what sort of monster is waiting in line to replace this one.

Hawks are going to be shoving a pineapple sideways up a place rather uncomfortable.

will be interesting to see if the Hawks have been waiting for this to come to an end and are now going to swoop (no pun intended) :)

I found this to be a very positive activity.

Whilst I might not agree with the ANC, at least they may it quite clear that they do not tolerate actions that have the potential to cast South Africa in a bad light, nor have negative economic consequences.

Well done.

Exactly... All he can appeal is the new 5 year suspension, the 2 year suspension from 2010 starts immediately, end of story.

Just wondering if this is the reason for all the police/army around Gauteng thelast few weeks. Am in KZN but drive up to JHB a few times a year and last week i have noticed alot more cops and army guys around.
