After 5 years he'll be too old for the ancyl - I would guess his chances of a political career are as good as being a master joiner.

unless he starts his own political party :p

You are naive, this is about Zuma and his attempt to stay in power.

I am not being naive. I am fully aware of all of the machinations behind the charges being laid, the final outcome, etc etc.

But it could have been presented as you were naughty and we don't like that so cheers. Or it could be presented as you were naughty and that is bad for the country so cheers.

I find the latter a positive statement but I would have been happy with Malema getting the boot no matter how or why.

You aren't getting it are you? Effectively a suspension means that he is not a member of the ANC for 5 years. Will not be a member of the ANC for 5 years.

It does not matter how much support he has, the ANC creates a list of members for inclusion in government. Not being a member means that you will never be on that list.

You're missing dlk001's point. He is agreeing with you.

"Appeal !! Appea !!l"

"Appeal? hy's 'n p@&s"

I hope they stand fast when he appeals.

I Admit I did not expect this. Well done to the disciplinary committee.
I admit I did not think you had the balls to do this.

Polok from News24:
Suspended for two years, then also for five years ...suspension to run concurrently but first suspension suspended for three years meaning he has been suspended for two years unless the seconded suspension which overrides the first suspension takes effect if Malema during his first suspension breaches the overriding suspension, then the second suspension will take effect which could have an impact on the five year suspension which in effect is not a five year suspension as it runs concurrently with the first suspension or is it the second three year suspension?!!!!!......I think I need a Panado!!!!!
I dont know what that means! Should I get a lawyer?!?!

LOL!

Interesting times:

Ok,
We all know he will appeal his suspension. We also know that the whole appeals process will take time. Now:
Will he still be in charge of the yl while the appeal is pending end/or in process?
I just read he will be on full pay http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/Politics/Julius-Malema-on-full-pay-until-appeal-20111110

On another note:
I wonder if he'll realy keep quiet the next 5 years. Somehow I think not.

Whats the chances that he'll try his luck with is own political pary?

Anyway,
the next few months will be interesting indeed!

I just pray he doesn't do anything stupid like incite a uprising, we could have a re-run of LA 1992 in Sandton.

At last.

The wheels of justice turned very slowly in this case.

I wonder if he will tone down his rhetoric?

Can't - they are all on strike for not wanting to work over the peak tourist season.

There's plenty FAT on that ass to survive until the strike ends.
