We cannot sterotype entire groups based on the actions of a few idiots, or dimiss valid social issues for that matter.
I agree.
I am doing neither. I am just saying you cannot hold the government solely responsible.

But we also must not dismiss the sentiment out there, that would be very foolish. No society can maintain high levels of inequality like this without some kind of backlash.

That is my concern, we are busy living our lives in a highly unequal society and we fool ourselves into believing that once Melama is gone everything will be ok. Nothing is ok here unfortunately.

Sorry, but why can we not hold the government solely responsible? They have had nearly 20 years to help the poor and the plight of the poor has worsened under ANC rule.

Malema, enriching himself on our money whilst screaming for the equality of the poor does absolutely nothing in my book, I'm afraid.

Has there been anything - anything !, that Julius has done to improve the lives of the youth ?

Now that he has lost his power the door is open for someone to fill his shoes who is actually willing and able to fulfil the mandate of the ancyl.

Something tells me that there's a possibility that Sexwale and Winnie Mandela don't really support Malema, maybe they are making it as if they are supporting Malema so that Malema can raise issues that many people are afraid to raise. Let's be honest here, if Malema wasn't born, who would have raised the issue of nationalization? No one. Who would have raised the issue of the rainbow nation being nothing more than a pipe dream? No one!. Who in the ANC is raising the issue of social grants and the building of free house being unsustainable? No one! Malema didn't raise the latter issue too because it doesn't attract votes, but someone must raise that issue, unfortunately no one will. I am of the view that Tokyo and Winnie used Malema to make South Africans wake up and to appreciate their freedom and to do something urgently to get the poor out of poverty otherwise people like Malema will take away that freedom through dictatorship.
I think you're reading too much into it. Some people are just that dumb, no need to give them credit they don't deserve ;)

Unfortunately Malema for his own selfish gains has awoken a sleeping lion. This is definitely far from over. We need strong and definitive leadership from JZ now. (don't laugh ).

Because certain segments of the "poor" have worsened their OWN plight.

WARNING TO ALL BLACKBERRY USERS: If you receive a BB friend request from 7213RBH, DO NOT respond. It is Julius Malema looking for a job!

You are naive, this is about Zuma and his attempt to stay in power.

And there are a bunch of political analysts who would disagree with each other on whats happening here. No reason why forumites would all agree lol.

Man, I havent seen white guys this excited and happy since the 1995 Rugby world cup.

This is very true...And Zuma to his credit (very, very slight credit) has started laying down the law, eg Firing and suspending ministers...Note I am very much Pro DA, but there are interesting times ahead in our political landscape...

I still do not believe this is near the end. He will not go down without a fight and I do not believe this will actually work.
I still see him as the comeback kid and see him as a future leader.
