Malema has a radical plan for SA

Socialism is a retard concept. It will never work. And he will never take control of Banks / Land /Mines

What Malema's fans don't understand is that the EFF's ideology seriously undermines the security of private ownership. Under a Malema government the poor would not be better off. They would not have the same right of ownership as is in place now. They would merely occupy land at the sufferance of the state. If Malema found oil under Khayelitsha he'd simply evict evict the poor people in the name of all the other poor people who live elsewhere. Or if someone greased his palm he would flatten Umlazi for a golf course because the income tax would be greater to spend on the poor.

Yes but the poor are not benefiting now anyhow, so malema will promise they regain land, take over from the white imperialists who continue to keep the majority in poverty and so on.

Believe me there is a very big possibility they will buy into his BS. The majority are poor and struggling under the ANC while a minority of black folk live really well but the poor people struggling at the moment could very well see malema as an end to their poverty. Even though he will basically ruin the country making the poor worse off than already are but logic is not always applied and thinking about the future is generally not something that happens. The unions could play a role as well, interesting to see who they will side with because they can influence many voters.

Sounds good to me. Pull the radical elements to there, and very likely the moderatsd will join Angang and the DA.
End result -a much smaller and less harmfull ANC.

"It's probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in." - Lyndon B Johnson

True that...and awesome quote dude!

So is it true in this country, i can see malema as an alternative to the ANC, the DA no chance. I am supporting the ANC but at the same time i will not vote DA if malema poses a serious threat.

Bizkit like i said do not underestimate malema. I thought he was gone but i wonder what sexwale is going to do. He has money to make sure malema has an epic campaign.

How will you determine whether he's a serious threat or not? Because he's already got you up in arms just by issuing a hare-brained press release.

And saying the DA won't ever have a chance is naive. They're the only party who has steadily and visibly grown in every election. This will continue as more and more young voters start becoming eligible to vote and older ones die off.

If you vote ANC you'll just be setting us back even more as a country.

I wonder when the EFF will get hold of him on some sort of intellectual property violation?

All good and well to start a party, where shall his funding come from? Anyone today can use emotive argument to generate traction, the devil is in the planning...and Julius, you do not know how to live, without having access to state funds...in the same breath, methinks JZ is not done with you yet...personally, he may find traction in his home province, and in rural areas...but for the most....loads of steam, plenty of rhetoric... no substance...basically his koolaid is a none starter.

Thats the other thing I think we will find..

He will make some inroads in this election, and then find being a real politician running a new party is hard work, and requires effort and intelligence and lots of money (which he doesn't have) and we will see EFF fall apart.

Killadoob, I'm really trying to respect your viewpoint but I absolutely can't.

Firstly, you show no understanding of the political situation. Malema is on his own. He will never side with the ANC as he has burned his bridges badly there. Moreover, most of his support base has been removed. However, he is more likely to side with the ANC than with the DA or Agang. Both of those parties could never form a coalition with him as they represent polar opposites. So a vote, any vote that is not for Malema would be against Malema. However, I would wager that if the ANC vote fell below 50%, the would more likely form a coalition with the EFF than with the DA. Secondly, I'm sure that Zuma is going to do his best to cut of Malema before the election happens; there are numerous charges against him including tax evasion and corruption which a gaolable offenses. To summarise, by voting with the ANC you are more likely to support the EFF than by voting with the DA or Agang.

Secondly, I think that anyone who votes for the ANC has no ethics. The ANC in its current form is absolutely corrupt. They increasingly do not stand for the rule of law, and value party loyalty above clean governance (as can be seen with Tlokwe). By putting your name to that party, you are saying that you are supporting bad governance, self enrichment and a total lack of ethics. In your case you might not actively be supporting it, but you are tacitly accepting it, which for me implies that you have a VERY low ethical standpoint.

Either way, I cannot respect your viewpoint. I think it is both irrational and deeply unethical.

Malema's policies are not different to those offered by the now-on-life-support PAC.

But the PAC don't have an orator of the quality of Malema. Say what you like about him, Malema is a brilliant orator. However, South Africa is a big country, and one man can't cover the whole of it. Moreover, the SABC will not screen his speeches if Zuma doesn't want it, severely cutting off his communication lines. Given the time till the next election, I would also say that Malema doesn't have time to develop a strong election campaign, and get the number of door-to-door campaigners needed.

You think i am worried based on this article? You mad bro? He has got me worried because the ANC just axed sexwale a billionaire who would perhaps like to see the ANC taken down, unrelated to the article posted here. I am awaiting for more info on that possibility. So that might mean big funding. The unions are sick and tired of the ANC so malema could well be supported by the unions who obviously have a massive influence on the people. I also worry that the majority of the poor folk are angry with the ANC at the moment, the anc are not popular and people are sick and tired of them. Etoll etc. there is another box to tick with malema.

Now malema comes in promising to end white imperialists running this country, he will say the anc have been corrupt by them. So the article hasn't got me worried, what worried me was reading that sexwale was axed and malema with money could very well be an option for the ANC tickers who want change.

I don't think Malema is a great orator he's simply shouting out populist rhetoric that is the hallmark of ANCYL members or more specifically presidents. It all started with Peter Mokaba, he was much the same as Malema in this so called "radicalism". The SA media loves a politician who stokes issues of race and Malema picked up on that and has been drumming it to stay in the limelight since his time as ANCYL president. In reality as evidenced by the number of votes he received at the Limpopo ANC PEC elections he doesn't have that big a support base.

I think he'll be able to get enough votes to make parliament now, but from there on he'll begin the downward spiral of all the one-man parties that litter the SA political landscape.

Pretty much this. There's a huge difference between someone being a charismatic populist, and being a good orator.

The man doesn't have any skills or actual work experience. All he can do is vomit out pointless rhetoric, which is all he's been doing since he became a politician.

Can he get 26% of the next Vote .... I doubt it very much. Will any DA members Vote EFF ... No EFFing way. Will ANC lose votes to EFF, probably some. Net result, DA Grows, ANC shrinks.

Seriously? an orator...Platitudes and rhetoric,... does not make an orator....I have not heard one uttering from him, of substance. He resonates because, he hits emotive topics...he should have been a none starter, but our media just love to feed little monsters

I still don't get why you think voting for the ANC would help the situation? Because they're the lesser evil? We have two options that are eminently less evil, namely DA and Agang. Voting for either of those is a vote against Malema and the ANC, with one tick. If you vote ANC and their share of the vote increases, then when Malema inevitably collapses we'll just be back where we are now. Stuck with the ANC.

We're moving into a political situation where one-party dominance is becoming less and less likely. We need DA and Agang to be the stronger contenders against the ANC, but also to keep each other in line.

They way I understand killadoob is that, without Malema, he thinks the DA will win a small minority of the vote and Agang will win a small minority meaning the ANC will win a majority of the vote. Enter Malema, many of disillusioned ANC voters move to EFF - so now you have DA with a small minority, Agang with a small minority, ANC and EFF close to equal but then... EFF wins majority over ANC and we have President Malema. Voting for DA won't help because most voters won't vote for them so it's only a minority voting for them, but if DA/Agang voters voted for ANC instead, it might tip the balance and keep Malema out of the presidency.

I don't agree with him, but it's a possibility...

It's really simple, if malema looks threatening and could possibly win, we know the DA will be out of the running to win. Now in that situation orbital knowing malema could win are you telling you would tick the DA box knowing it could be tight between the anc and malema? If you would still tick the DA box knowing malema had a real chance explain to me why would you tick the DA box?
