So is it true in this country, i can see malema as an alternative to the ANC, the DA no chance. I am supporting the ANC but at the same time i will not vote DA if malema poses a serious threat.

Bizkit like i said do not underestimate malema. I thought he was gone but i wonder what sexwale is going to do. He has money to make sure malema has an epic campaign.

I don't think so, malema has apologized and blah blah but he is no friend of the ANC nor has been treated as such. So this is a legit party. This isn't cope taking some DA votes. This is a proper party with a possible leader that people know and he could take more ANC votes than we think possible. The DA has never been an alternative to the majority, white run party and always be no matter what they do.

I thought the ANC dealt with him, i underestimated him like many do and he is back now. For the first time i think the majority are fed up with the ANC and have a party run a leader who is well known and comes across like he is fighting for people suffering. We know that is BS but just hold back and ensure your vote is not wasted on the DA. Hopefully he is just another COPE and not a serious contender.

I saw in paper yesterday sexwale was kicked out of his position. Malema could get a billionaire backing him but that is unconfirmed. It was just a headline that sexwale was booted.

I don't think that our elections are not about race, that would be naive. But maybe one of us doesn't quite get the profile of your average DA supporter. I think a very tiny minority of them are voting "anything but the ANC". I just don't see moderates all of a sudden supporting rabid radicalism (is that even a word? )

... thier support is steadily growing .. first a couple of wards in and around Cape Town ... then the city itself ... then the entire province ... and there were a couple of areas elsewhere across the country that were closer than the ANC would like you to believe

I don't think everyone in our country is crazy racist, I don't think there are that many people who are that uneducated and ignorant that Malema would ever be anything more than an irritating sideshow come election time

From the stand point of a political party's constitution etc, the being found guilty is paramount.. an accusation is not enough to boot the person out.

Yes, this is a mopping up of the "stragglers", the "too radical/corrupt/criminal for the anc". The various parties under the anc proxy, the eff umbrella, will form a coalition with the anc, to push through the 2nd stage of the NDR.
