Here's some good advice. If one of your family gets a lump in their breast, and they are ignoring it, make sure they go for that checkup !! It may just turn out to be a cyst !!! And is that not a relief ? The worst thing you can do is prolong the agony of not knowing, just because your'e to stubborn or afraid of whatever. My older sister got her results today and it was good news. Just wanted to post this to encourage people to tackle this thing head on- quickly. Procedure was to get a referral from a private doctor. Then visit the Westridge medical centre, in Durban. You are NOT to have any lotion or perfume on whatsoever. Very polite and professional female staff. The procedure is a bit painful, but not something to be afraid of. They are able to tell you then and there, because cancerous tissue has a different appearance from a cyst. However, you must still take the charts to your doctor. Procedure is approximately 1 hour.
