Mamodupi Mohlala is a former Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) councillor, and she also headed up the Pension Funds Adjudicator.
Mohlala, whose responsibilities at Icasa included regulatory and licensing activities in the broadcasting and telecommunications sector, has joined the DoC as Director General on 1 September.
Mohlala is well known in the telecoms and communications arena having served as an ICASA Councilor for many years.
