Man blows up apartment spraying for bugs

A New Jersey man trying to exterminate insects in his apartment blew it up instead, the New York Daily News reported on Monday.

Isias Vidal Maceda was unhurt in the incident, but 80 percent of his apartment was destroyed, Eatontown, New Jersey police told the newspaper.

The accident occurred as Maceda was spraying for pests in his kitchen. Somehow the bug spray ignited a blast that blew out the apartment's front windows and triggered a fire that quickly spread, the newspaper said.

I hope the insects was in the 80% part and not in the 20% part of his apartment!

He may have a Mexican name but the incident took place in New Jersey (in the US). Nowhere in the article does it say he was Mexican . What's with the bold type anyway:confused:

Nah, kidding, bold is a standard way of expressing something called "emphasis", perhaps you've heard of it.

Nah2, actually I figured my target audience may not be capable of seeing all words in the sentence, so I thought the important word should be more prominent :D

I googled around, various sources say he's Mexican ... now seemingly I get accused of being right-wing when I wasn't the one who brought race insults into this in the first place - it was you (nor did I even claim that his Mexican-ness in any way caused this - if Fudzy assumed that then it can ONLY be HIM that thinks Mexicans are stupid). Oh well, I guess those are the hypocritical double-standards to be expected from amateur wannabe-subjugators (note to self: "only whites can be racists", note 2, "whites are racist even if they haven't said anything negative", got it, thx!). Good luck quoting where I said anything negative about a minority.

There are literally millions of Mexicans living in the US, and yes, some of them will be living in New Jersey ... yeah they walked all that way, can you believe.

You've deployed the genius "I know what you are, but what am I" tactic, how ever will I recover from primary school retort? Tell me, what was your initial reasoning behind pointing out the fact that this person was a Mexican?
 
Geez you guys need to chill. I can't believe some people think I'm here with an anti-American agenda. I try to get all the weird and funny news, wherever it may be. Some of the time it's in other countries, most of the time it's in the US. If it all originated in Asia then that's what I would've posted and no one would've had a problem with it, but as soon as it's America, a few sensitive nerves go off. Come on people. If you can dish it out, you need to take it in as well. Not my problem that they have the most weird news, but I, like many others, find them funny. It's a break from all of the rest of the crappy news that we have to deal with everyday. Don't shoot the messenger! :) He's just bringing the news to you...
