Man kills friend's hijacker

Unfortunately the criminals have too many rights and they should have nil rights - WELL DONE CHAP we could do with alot more of you's.

“He (the friend) was not arrested because he prevented a crime. An inquest docket has been created to investigate the circumstances around his death,” Dlamini said.

I cannot believe it, must be a first?

Excellent news. So someone hijacks you and you have a weapon you can empty your clip in their direction. Will keep that in mind.

Left a mess on the friend's car's front seat. I wonder if he will clean it up

Obviously you have a problem comprehending the comment I made and then you add some dramatization to show your lack of understanding.

For one the guy did not "empty a clip in a direction". He shot the guy in the chest because he was armed according to the article. I do not have the minor details, neither have you so if you want to kill innocent people and get jailed for it, just do it!
Secondly in the past practically every person that shot a criminal, even during the violent attacks, a murder docket was opened. Therefore the comment.

Technically the friend didn't prevent a crime from happening, he aborted it while it was in progress - but kudos to him for doing what was necessary. We need more concerned citizens who are concerned about the rights of taxpayers, not about ending the lives of criminal scum.

Technically he did prevent a crime from happening. Hijacker is no longer in possession of stolen property

I don't (didn't?) think it worked like that. Normally unless your life is in imminent danger, you can't just kill the guy... Not that I don't think this was a fair use of justice :).

It isn't about your life being in danger - it is about whether you believe your life to be in danger. That's for self defence.

This was not about self defence. this was about exercising a citizen's arrest

No problem reading your comment and comprehended it fine. It was quicker grabbing your quote than going into the article itself. Apologies.

And I was referring to it in general, same as you. Next time something like that happens the lawyers have this case as a reference to get the good guys out of jail time.

They confiscated the guys firearm and now want to open a case of murder against him, well done you useless SA police !!
He had every right to kill these animals and now you want to prosecute him????
