Man murdered on smallholding

Yeah, geez that's the whole point of prison. To sort you out from a criminal low life to someone who can actually contribute to society. Problem is a lot of petty criminals come out a lot harder.

Appreciate it when it works the way it should.

because they sit on their asses the whole day and think of new ways to commit crime. make them work.

The prison system is CREATING it's own problems......

Sucks.
It might not be for rehab but it surely should be a deter you from doing that.

Single parents that steal should not have children in their care. It sets a bad example.

In a Utopian society, this would be ideal, but we live in the real world, where people are infirmed, disabled and just plain old. When you look at just how many single parent families operate in our society, you will come to appreciate measures like this for how humane they are. Remember that these services are not offered to every Tom, Dick and Harry that is in prison, but offenders of minor crimes. So I wouldn't worry about hearing about a murder on the news and then arrive at your local dentist surgery years later to be operated on by said murderer.

I feel so sorry for the boy :( What type of future does he have after that?

Edit: Also I have to mention Fuma. I think you may have interpreted the prisoners intentions wrongly in that case. Do you know wether he meant he was glad he was did the crime and then became a better person, or wether he was glad he was caught and found guilty, because they are 2 different things. 1 means he isn't sorry for what he had done, and the other means he has atoned for his mistakes.
Well, he said if it wasn't for prison, he wouldn't have gave gotten his degree. He didn't seem remorseful of his crime. I could be wrong.

Still I maintain that if you commit serious crime, you should be removed from society permanently. I know 4 guys (2 rapists, 1 murderer, and 1 attempted murderer) who came out of prison. The victims' families haven't moved on with their lives but these thugs are carrying on like nothing happened.

I supose in a society where there is better social services this would not be an option?

Only thing is the man and the dog ARE working together ;)

RSA is all fun in the sun until crap like this hits your family
there's no reason to kill a man, if you really want to get the money just knock him unconscious and get on with it

this is barbaric

Unfortunately this is the world we live in. There isn't much we as individuals can do about this.... it has to be addressed by the people that are in charge and again unfortunately for us they don't care...
