Man sues Microsoft over Surface storage capacity

I also agree having less than half the space available is a little sucky, but if he wants to be technical the storage is 32gb or whatever, it does not say 32gb available for users or 32gb after system files.

Hope he fails.

So I can sue my motor manufacturer for giving the fuel consumption as 7.4 l/100km and I am getting only 8.5 l/100km???? What a strange world (or should I say USA)!!

Seeing you're using car analogies, would you sue if you were sold a car with a 65l tank that only had enough capacity for 33l?

If Android took half my bloody TF101 I also would be ticked off.

Besides WTF is Windows RT doing with the 16 gig, its not like its a fullblow OS like Windows Pro?

Also Libre Office = 400 MB/Quick Office for iOS/Android is 20 MB Android OS = 400MB/iOS = 700MB

Maybe Microsoft should trim their code for a change, or are they still using the legacy left by old IBM coders (Pay salary by lines of code instead of by function) They even developed a tool to help http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/LOCCounter

Why should any OS need to be 16GB anyway?
I can still get Linux on a CD sized .iso, and that's also a "full blown" OS.

Good on this Guy. 16GB for OS on a mobile platform is stupid. Win7 uses less with office installed. This should send a clear message to manufacturers to not take liberties with storage that costs a fortune.

I wonder if the same issue with storage space is a problem on a windows 8 phone.
