Do you know if this applies to other classes such as an Enhancement shammy? Obviously not for threat but for DPS.

I am not just talking about bosses, but in general PVP and for sometimes tanking trash.

PvP players can't dodge from the rear,and classes like DK love parrying you while rogues and feral druids dodge a bit. I don't worry much about it tho,samelvl hit and expertise caps are easy to reach

As for tanking trash they arent bosslvl so their percentages are lower and probably wont parrygib you to death

The only way in which Hit/Expertise ups your avoidance as a DK is ensuring that Blood abilities never miss so your Blade Barrier is up quicker.

You didn't quite follow how parry works it seems

Expertise is not an avoidance stat. Any additional avoidance gained from it is secondary.
The primary focus of Expertise is in conjunction with Hit Rating to avoid not landing crucial attacks.

Parry-gibbing is a real threat so do try to read up on it before thinking Expertise is only to land an attack and no,the argument "I/we/it/our mt does fine without it" doesn't mean its a useless stat or a threat stat only with a minute gain to avoidance

For a normal tank using 1H or 2H Parry gibbing is far down on your priority for gearing since you've got lots of ways of compensating.
Warriors/Paladins have shield block,etc Dk's have a much slower attack speed so they get parried less and Druids juts suck it up with their HP pool.

The primary reason for a 2H DK stacking Expertise is not for additional avoidance but to prevent not landing crucial attacks.
One of those is ANY Blood Rune ability because you want your Blood Runes on perma-cooldown so Blade Barrier is up for a much higher percentage of any fight.

Expertise only becomes an avoidance stat for DW DK's because they're attacking at a considerably faster rate. So fast that Parry Gibbing becomes a big concern for them.
