Polokwane – A group of Limpopo business people will march to the premier's office in Polokwane on Friday against "unfair" tender awarding in the province.

Spokesperson for the group, Koti Mokwalakwala, told SABC News that they had had enough of the provincial government awarding business contracts to politically connected people.

"We do have information. If it comes to a push to take the government on, we can. It is a matter of people saying that this is enough."

This comes after recent reports on African National Congress Youth League president Julius Malema's assets and lifestyle.

Limpopo provincial government spokesperson Mogale Nchabeleng told Sapa that the premier's office received a letter on Thursday notifying them about the march.

"We don't know these people but we received a letter notifying us about their march at 12 midday today [Friday]. It talks about unfair distribution of tenders but we are waiting to hear from them," he said.

Police spokesperson Superintendent Ronel Otto said there police were on stand-by to escort the Black Entrepreneurs Business Forum through the Polokwane CBD to the premier's office.

Not that I'm at all surprised. I mean just look at the tenders for the two new coal-fired power plants. Awarded to Hitachi Power SA, which in turn is 25% owned by an ANC company. Wonder whether that actually went out to tender in the first place.

Looks Like "his" people are upset.

Looks like the people are beginning to see beyond the ANC's bulls**t. Hopefully this will make a rapid change in politics in this country. It's the educated black folk of the 18-30 year old, that aren't brainwashed by the struggle, that are able to see the ANC for what they are. Perhaps there is still hope?

Hah, SA politicians know how to ignore marches and demonstrations. They've had how many this year, has anything changed? They simply send cops in, fire a few rounds into the crowd and then tell the media that the protest turned violent, even if the march was completely peaceful up to that point. And then the issue that they where marching for gets forgotten by the media and the politicians can sweep it under the carpet before anyone notices.
