Mass e-toll protests unlikely: GCIS CEO

What else can they say?

We believe we are a country of law-abiding citizens...

And there I was thinking they are growing carrots behind the Union Buildings. Turns out it is a different kind of forked leaf plant of which they are inhaling the rapid oxidation by-product.

The people who are going to be hit the hardest by e-tolls are the people that vote for the ANC. Everything is going to be even more expensive.

Law abiding is not the same thing as lackey. In fact the most law abiding of citizens are the ones who most powerfully defy government abuse

But they won't see it like that. They'll blame businesses for putting up their prices, and foreigners for being foreign, and apartheid for everything.

Saddest part is that those hardest hit, will still vote for probably the worlds most thieving and corrupt government. Conscience is not part of the ANC's elite vocabulary!
They would steal their mother blind.................

“We believe we are a country of law-abiding citizens and a large number are already tagged.”

I have a problem with this. If they believe that we are all law abiding citizens and will bend over and pay... Then why, OH WHY, do I get penalised for not having an e-tag. If they know we will pay, why must people without tags pay more?

“The e-tolling system is one aspect of the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project which has enhanced the movement of people and goods and will make the provincial and national economy more efficient in future.”

I call BS on this statement.

I don't blame people starting to give up on e-Toll protesting - the government is not listening to the people, it seems futile now our government just seems to be forcing things through.

Vusi Moaner is obviously hard at work with his spin

“We believe we are a country of law-abiding citizens and a large number are already tagged.”

in the last couple of weeks just about every government or Scamral spokesperson has said the same or similar

Everything that can be said on this topic has been said... these threads are starting to get boring.
