Mass Effect: Andromeda

The thing is that Andromeda contains a lot more dialogue than the games mentioned. Not just a little bit. A lot.

Andromeda has more dialogue than Mass Effect 2 and 3 combined.

More information why the animation in Andromeda is different to other AAA games like Uncharted 4 and Tomb Raider:

I've been playing the game and I seriously wonder why people are going so ape ****. The game looks good and it's fun to play. I've been having a great time.

And I play more games than most people

2. https://trello.com/b/WHCsPfF2/games

And I'm not the only one who's loving the game:

and so forth. Even here the people who have been playing it are liking it. Same at MyGaming:

I'm not saying it's worth R1000 though. I don't believe any games are. But it's a good game nonetheless.

Impressive Trello list there - reckon I'll start one as well as it's nice to keep track. Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes to sample such a wide variety.

So, have around 30hours of SP, completed the main story, and one thing I can say. It is Mass Effect.

With so many playthroughs of ME3, Is it strange that I actually miss Shepard, Joker, Liara and the rest of the gang???

One thing that has me really annoyed about Andromeda... All the Asari look exactly the same with the exception of Peebee and Lexi, the rest has all the exact same model.

MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA – THE JOURNEY AHEAD

Over the next two months we’ll be rolling out additional patches which will go even deeper and look to improve several areas of the game:

More options and variety in the character creator
Improvements to hair and general appearance for characters
Ongoing improvements to cinematic scenes and animations
Improvements to male romance options for Scott Ryder
Adjustments to conversations with Hainly Abrams

Patience will be rewarded.

Also on a side note, the game was cracked after being out for only 10 days.

Sweet.

Allowing you to skip ahead when travelling between planets in the galaxy map
Increasing the inventory limits
Improving the appearance of eyes for humans and asari characters
Decreasing the cost of remnant decryption keys and making them more accessible at merchants
Improving localized voice over lip sync
Fixing Ryder’s movements when running in a zig zag pattern
Improving matchmaking and latency in multiplayer

Had a couple of matches that just craps out

Pretty much a "The Division" faux pas - released the game with so many issues that it took 7-9 months to fix by which time the player base was completely eroded. I will probably pick MEA up once it goes for 300 bucks on a PSN special - will be a pity as by then no-one will play it online any more. Makes me wonder why they were so ignorant about the obvious issues in the game. And more disappointing is that most review sites rated the game as a "must buy" before the first honest reviews arrived.

To be honest, the ME3 multiplayer base was and still is quite large on PC.
Hardly ever struggled to get an online game, even 5 years after release.

So here's hoping

Beyond MP this is an issue for me. I don't particularly want to wait that long to play the game. By that time, ~5 more games will have come out that I want to play. This goes for DLC, too. It comes out months after the original and by that time I've moved on.

I realise, of course, that there's nothing stopping me from playing the games out of order. :o

A good game will always be a good game. I don't get the "I have to have/play it now" mindset or people that preorder. 6 months down the line it will be half the price, bugs fixed with extra dlc and you will still have a blast. Granted the online component might be dead by then but single player will still be great. If the game is not great you would not bother & not waste your money on it.

You're right, of course. As I said, I don't really have a particularly good reason why I specifically want to play the game when it comes out - maybe something about the excitement leading up to it (pitfalls of hype etc.) and it simply being available. Not as if I don't have a bajillion other games I still need to play.

Witcher 3 was great when it launched, but the changes they made along the way (and the DLC) improved it even more. Mafia 3 on launch was plagued by performance issues which were largely resolved a while later, too.
