Not 100% about the pc version, the 360 version has a grainy film effect. perhaps check if its enabled/disabled?

sorry for the thread, fixed it by changing the resolution to 1024 by 768 pixels

yep, I also removed the film grain effect when I played. Glad they give you the option.

I like film grain, but in ME it is too strong an effect, about half would have looked good to me.

Does Mass Effect hang a lot on your PC's as well? It hangs roughly every 30 minutes on my PC with the 1.1a patch.

i ran mine fine with no issues, but i just played it as is, no patch...

...but i must admit i stopped playing after a while though

Which gfx and which driver?? There is a known problem with nvidia drivers especially the latest ones. BioWare is working on a patch they said at the comic con in NY last week it will be out in two months.

NVidia 9600GT and drivers about 3 months old. (Away from my PC at the moment.)

mine works fine, all options on ultra high with no lag or anything,it just crashes now and then.

It happens on some systems but not all. It also worked fine for me with both my 8800gts and 260gtx but others have major issues with nvidia cards and the latter drivers with the game. Ati cards don't have this issue.

I had intermittent crashes with my overclocked 8800GT, once I dropped the clocks to defaults they stopped.

I have stock 8800GT and the game runs like a charm 95% of the time, except for 2 lock-ups when loading new areas
