Massive loss for Sanral

I would assume SANRAL was / is not meant for profit but to keep the national roads in good condition, to me a measure of success for SANRAL would be the quality of the roads they manage.

Don't want to be a wet blanket, but hold the jig. Whatever happens, SANRAL gets its money from us. The only question is how those funds are extracted. Sad to say.

Good and bad news for RSA. Good that we giving them the finger, but what will happen to the current road maintenance now?

Will most likely be from the fuel levy... which is what we were proposing all along.
(There might also be a few more government bail-outs).
We were never opposed to paying for the roads.
Just opposed to paying for the excessively stupid and expensive tolling system.
(if they had just skipped the tolling system, the roads would have been paid for several years ago).

I'm with you 100%!

Just sad to see the taxpayer's bill mount up and up and up and up and up and up... and the roads are just as crappy.
