Massive uncapped ADSL price cuts

I'm currently with AH Business Uncapped and I am curious to know how it compares to WA's Business Uncapped offering? I could save R112 if I made the switch but is it worth it if I am happy with what I am getting from Afrihost?

Last month I thought I would try out AH Premium since I was told gaming isn't shaped and boy what a mistake that was. Contrary to what they say it was affected and I ended up having to use my capped WA account just so I could play Dota 2. So I know capped WA is great for gaming, but does that greatness carry over to their Business Uncapped offerings?

Another reason for my apprehension is because right now, as I write this, I am busy updating Paragon on my PC at home. I just checked what speed I am getting through Team Viewer and after watching it for a few minutes I never saw its speed drop below 400kB/s.

I think that is amazing considering my usage for this month is over 300Gb and it is peak time right now. So my question is would I still get the same speed from a cheaper WA package with a similar usage profile?

No thank you.
I won't touch them with a pole. Worst provider I've ever dealt with.

We're using business capped and have gone from 300 GB @ R839 to 400 GB @ R559. So happy with the increase in cap and reduced price. And we the 1 TB midnight - 6 am as well.

The network is fine, the support is terrible.

Who even ADSLs these days? :p

Oh look at Mr money bags here from Sandton with his 400Mbit Fibre link.

I'm pretty sure nobody would want to bother with ADSL giving the choice between ADSL and Fibre... problem is we don't have a choice.

Jeez relax, what crawled up your Margaret?

I can download a movie faster than I can watch it on my 10 Mbps line. Why would I want to pay more?
Fibre is actually cheaper. 10 Mbps uncapped goes for around 600-700. I suspect that's around the line rental + ADSL access fee alone...

So how much GB can one expect (fair usage and all that) with a normal uncapped account before they start slowing you down (or whatever they do)?

How long is a ball of string? They publish one set of rules, but they do other things.

Our business uncapped accounts are on the same bandwidth priority profile as our capped accounts so the performance is identical. If it doesn't suit your needs then you can always upgrade to a business pro or capped account as upgrades are immediately.

Business uncapped 4MB or 400GB capped - which is best?

It completely depends on your needs to be honest. If you not going to use more than 400gb a month then I say capped

So sad to read :( can you PM me details about dealings with us so I can feedback this to our support management as we are making some changes and they need to factor customer feedback in as well.

Thanks

We don't have any set limits as our star rating is dynamic but we've increased the thresholds to allow for more usage on all our uncapped accounts so customers can use much more than before without moving a star.

This is now like attending a funeral.
In other words: TOO LATE
