Massive youtube preview thumbnails

Im on the PC ±10yrs a day, so it easier for me to just open it here when a new sub vid pops up. The only ones here that use the TV app is the kids

Yeah sorry I didn’t mean to imply there is something wrong with it, just the way I consume it is very much in my full on leisure time.

Of course I watch the odd embedded video or open a Iink here and there but those are pretty much one shot events.

My underlying point was also that browser mods to fix problems obviously don’t work on the apps so YouTube needs to address them.

How would you like us to do it on a w10/w11 PC, where the installed browser add-blocker (+ whatever other addons) are running in the browser to alter said website

I use the Windows UWP app for YouTube in both W10 & W11 - thankfully the 'Shorts' haven't appeared at the top of the 'Home' listing as yet, as I have the Enhancer for YouTube extension blocking them from appearing...



It still allows the installed Chrome extensions to remain active as well...

There is an icon on the right-side of the address bar in the Chrome web browser that lets you install it & also open YT via the UWP app...

Its probably the fact that all the google employees are now old and losing eyesight. That makes the most sense.

My YouTube Home layout seems to have improved a bit, now seeing 4 smaller thumbnails per row instead of the 3 giant ones! Anyone else?

Just install User JavaScript and CSS and then create a rule for https://www.youtube.com/ and add the following CSS and change per row value as required:

.ytd-rich-grid-renderer{
  --ytd-rich-grid-items-per-row: 5;
}
.ytd-rich-shelf-renderer{
  --ytd-rich-grid-items-per-row: 5;
}
