Mate 20 Pro & Telkom - weird problem

Hey guys,

Just switched from Apple to the dark side... Got the Mate 20 Pro deal from Telkom.

There's a weird issue that I only really noticed today (bout 2 weeks with the phone now)

When I call an MTN subscriber, I can hear them, but they can't hear me.

It happened on 3 occasions today. So I tried dialing other networks... And all was fine.

Tried my wife again just now, who's on MTN... And she can't hear me.

Anyone come across such a problem? Any ideas?

Yes, it's MTN. Same issue on multiple phones. Have to call again.

On which of your simcards is the issue? I experience something similar on Mtn sim with Volte enabled, disabled no issues. Telkom sim no issues.

strangely i'm on MTN on dont have this problem. my entire family is on MTN and doesn't have this.. doubtful it's MTN otherwise a broader audience would be complaining

Mario, I'm using just one sim, so sim 1.

Will try disabling volte and see if it helps. Thanks for the tip.

@cobusv that was my thoughts initially. I searched Google and found no reports, so assumed it wouldn't be a network issue.
 
I am on MTN, I can't hear the caller. It happens when someone calls from the other networks.
Nokia 1600, 2G phone.

Ahhh ok. Wish #MTN would get on this thread!

Needed to call my wife again this morning. Can't hear me. So annoying!

Anyhoo at least it's not my shiny new Mate :)

Scary that Mate20pro already an old phone and it's features appearing as something new on Samsung s10 range
 
I'm with Cell C iPhone X and when I phone my colleagues on MTN they can't hear me I need to hang up and call them back.. driving me insane as I call them ten to fifteen times a day..!
