Some comments actually piss me off... So what if you do/did maths lit and failed or passed it greatly?
I got 90+ perent every term too, and had friends who got 50's in lit but got 80's in English and Biology. It all depends what you're good at. You may get A's for Maths Core, Physical Science and so on, but you could suck at a subject such as Design or English.
Once again it depends who you are!

But mostly, it depends on how hard you study the subjects you're not good at.
Also, I just want to make sure everyone is aware that a passing grade in high school is 40%, right? Just so people have some perspective on just how bad you have to do to fail.

I thought maths lit was a joke when I was still in high school, and I've seen nothing to change my mind since. There is only a little shame in doing maths lit if you don't want to study a degree worth having, but that's assuming you ace it.
If you are failing maths lit however, then you can't complain about being made to feel inadequate, because you are inadequate. Maths lit requires little to no knowledge of anything - just a few megahurtz of brain power. If you have a legitimate reason for failing (retardation being the only one I can think of off the top of my head) then you should be at a special school, otherwise you should just get off your ass and do some work.
My faith in humanity is not so low that I can excuse a fail in maths lit.
Why?
I assume because you'd think teachers should be able to do maths, especially considering that they teach it themselves?
Not every teacher teaches maths so I don't think its a major requirement.
