Has anyone had to return a product to Matrix warehouse? I bought a set of headphones at Rage at about R430 and about 2 weeks later, the volume control started to make the audio crackle and often i lose audio in the one earpiece. Yesterday i took it back to them and was expecting a replacement there and then, but i need to wait 7 - 21 days because they need to send it to HO to have them test it (Tech clearly heard there was an issue with it as it is simple to replicate) and once HO says there is an issue, they will then replace the product.

I understand a 7 - 21 days on a faulty Mobo or something like that but 7 - 21 on a pair of headphones?? Am i being ridiculous about this time frame or is it reasonable, even though its headphones?

My advice is that it's simply not worth the blood pressure and drama about such a cheap product.

Just let them do their **** (as silly as it is) and then don't buy anything there again in future.

I've bought those same headphones from them - and they all pretty much had the same problem.
Like Sauron says - we are buying cheap Chinese junk and you are not going to find a much better model at that price range.
I just wiggle mine until it settles and the volume is clear.

And yes, their stated policy is one week for swap out, otherwise return for repair.

Red-dragon?

Yea i was going to fight it but its only 400 or so rand so i dont want to waste the energy, anyway i have spares at home that i can use so its not a train smash.

Yes, but mine was the R799 version. Somic G941.

Can you not just cut that volume controller right out - join the wires directly and use the computer on board volume controller?

Had to get a hard drive replaced by them under warranty once, took about 2 months.

HI Stillie; you can RMA the product with Syntech. it has a swap out warranty not a repair.

I have a H110M PRO VH Plus motherboard sent for repair, so should I expect to wait for about two month.

I was there today. Pretty pricey. Not sure brick & mortar component stores are such a good idea in this day and age.

Yeah they are expensive on some things, but some cables they aren't that bad. Also picked up a case for a decent price. But yeah got a 5 meter CAT5E cable from them didn't work properly and an HDMI cable I paid R20 more then Makro that turned out to be 1.4 and speckled. They have a non return policy for cables. The Ethernet cable I forced them on saying they screwed me over on the hdmi.
