This weekend I bought an awesome 40" Samsung LED TV only to find out the standard DSTV-decoder picture quality is nothing compared to the in-store channel quality. Is there any way to improve the picture quality on the standard decoder without upgrading to the PVR HD? Surely there is a way of enhancing that 'yellow' video-cable somehow? The surround-sound equipment i bought came with a red & white cable unit to split the audio into 5(.1) channels. How do I do that with the video?

Any suggestions are welcomed! :D:D:D

I don't have a suggestion, but I have a question. I've got a Kruger Rand. I want to turn it into a bar of gold... Do you know how I can do that?

:D

Your !!!BEST BET!!! is to get a HD PVR and a Bluray player - then you will really be impressed! SD can not be improved to be HD ... sorry

Return the LED backlit LCD and swap for the cheaper PS43D450 43" plasma.

You have no other options.

Get the HDPVR (& Bluray player). Only way to experience the full potential of your TV.

Return it. Do as I do. Just go to the store when you want to watch something. They constantly upgrade. No subs. No nagging wife. No warranty problems. Call Mr Delivery. No cleaning up. Keep your beers chilled in the fridge department. Five years and no complaints.

Get PS3 and watch Blu-rays.
