I bought a new Xplora (main) and HD decoder (secondary for xtraview)
I have had 2 installation teams to try and install the HD decoder as a secondary decoder in my granny flat with no success.
Observations:
- On myDSTV app both decoders are shown as main decoders. Is this correct or should the one show secondary decoder?
- The Xplora decoder works in both positions, the main house and the granny flat. This tells me the signal cable is working.
- The secondary position is approximately 30m from the main decoder if you walk in a straight line. The route of the signal cable makes the length of the cable approximately 50m. Can the HD decoder handle this distance?
- I do have a Smart LNB.
- Main decoder is set as Decoder 1 and secondary decoder is set as Decoder 2.
- I ran a new signal cable to the secondary decoder where I get 100% signal strength and 73% signal quality and I pick up Channel 100 perfectly. However I get an E-143 error on all other channels. I have done a re-install a few times with the same error every time.
Any advice?
