Soooo... any news when SANRAL will be turning this thing on? Last time I had a good read it was "ready to go". Now they have the law signed, why aren't they rolling out? (or have a missed an article that gives the starting date?)

Our esteemed minister of transport reckons they need a month to get their ducks in a row, so that means sometime in November.

The minister said that it could be ready within one month.
She didn't say it would be rolled out within a month.

Peters says a launch date will be announced once everything is finalised.
“I believe that we need less than a month to get our ducks in a row and make sure that we start implementing.”
Nah. They'll start it in December. Christmas present for Gauteng, because remember the people WANT it!
Please people don't let this get out
Wonder how long that will stay up before soemthing 'illegal' is found about it. Thumbs up for whoever ot was.
Possibly preempting but the company that owns the advertising structure will probably get a call. Should be quite interesting if it is Primedia. They've carried SANRAL adverts and tried to play both sides - it's a revenue thing which in no way impacts on their views on etolling.
If they take this down, then they should be refusing to flight SANRAL adverts too.
But, as I said, probably preempting.
