May I hide bank statement transactions when applying for a cellphone contract?

Hi, I would like to know If I am allowed to draw a line through my transactions when giving telkom a 3 month bank statement. I feel that its personal information and dont want them to see on what im spending my money. I have no problem in showing them my available balance and my money out.

Of course you can.
 
Normally dodgy places call themselves things like the Chicago piano lounge.
But you could just use a marker and block it out I guess.

With my ex I dumped R300 into her account every Fri morning for braai ingredients to buy before I come home and I always used "Braai Slaai en Naai" as a reference
 
The question we are all dying to know the answer to is why @Ruanerasmusx ? What is on the bank statement that you want to hide?

Pretty sure everyone does this. SARS probably gets suspicious if you don't have transactions with "prostitution services" or "hand jobs" as the reference.
 
The point is to show your income and expenses to determine if you can afford the phone.

Even if you are a Simp and ashamed of it that expenses count and you can't hide anything.

That is why you should have a Cheque Account that your salary goes into
Then you transfer funds to your Credit Card each month and use that for swiping for booze, drugs and hookers

They just want to see that there is an income coming in for 3 months that is consistent
Blank out the rest of the stuff, it has nothing to do with them
 
Do they even look at this these days? System normally auto approve or decline you. They only look at this if they have to do manual application?

A buddy of mine does "Nuclear Arms Deals", "Child Trafficking" and "ANC KIckbacks" and all sorts of dodgy stuff, hahahaaa, That's too far for me to do
