Keep a whistle need the phone.
Answer call.
Blow hard on whistle till they put hang up.
Repeat a few times if needed.
Friend had this issue, on almost weekly basis, they gave up after about 3 calls. Hasn't had a call in months. She was nice, she actually told them that if they call her again she is going to blow out their ear drum. They didn't listen.....
MBD attorneys have been calling me for the past 2 months looking for MR Moodley, I told them everytime that i am not who they are looking for yet they still keep calling, well because i get bored i decided to pretend i am MR Moodley every time they called just to fool with them, but now i am tired and the joke is kinda getting old.
SO MR MOODLEY PLEASE HAND YOURSELF OVER TO THEM SO THEY CAN STOP CALLING ME. Thanks in advance.
If I was you I'd go to their offices (profile says you are in JHB) and ask to speak to someone, ask them to call my number, obviously it will then ring in front of them, then I will tell show them my ID, then I will tell them "remove my number from your system or I will be coming back, and I'll be really pissed off if I have to do that":

I just threatened on the phone to do the above ("oh, I see your address is blah blah blah, good I am in Johannesburg currently, I will be coming over in lunchtime because you won't believe me that this is my phone number and not Mr whomevers. Do I really have to come over and show you in person?") with a similar company years ago, they said it was not necessary to come over and stopped calling me.
How do you even know that? How did you ever let them get that far?
I rarely answer any number I don't know. One has to be able to suppress any curiosity or FOMO.
I admit I occasionally do answer an unknown, by mistake, or if the faked number resembles one I know, or if I think it's a call I'm expecting. Then, as soon as the person draws in their breath and says 4 max. 6 words which don't instantly identify them as someone from whom I want the call, I hang up, immediately. Done. Repeat. Yes, I find it usually takes several repetitions of just that, and then they simply give up on my number because their call-centre database sends them to the next potentially gullable person.

Meh - it won't work.
The agents work off a system that automatically dials you. They're one person among 800 or so other agents and you won't get past the front desk security without an appointment. Unless you feel like screaming at a security guard.
Your best bet is to phone their reception or email their helpdesk and ask them to blacklist your number from their database as you are not the debtor in question.
They just called again, Told them i am not Mr Moodles so they need to stop calling me, they just insisted that i am moodley and if i dont settle my standard bank account they will keep calling me until i do, then they hung up.

There is very little you can do other than install something like TrueCaller, and just continuously block their new numbers....
You could entertain yourself and start sending them a bill for 30 minutes of your time each time you answer the phone and then threaten to hand them over to your debt collector though, that would be fun to watch.
You can set it to block common spammers - I had to turn off this option as it kept on blocking things like ADT and my bank but mostly it worked very well.
MBD gave up on me though, they used to call about the TV licence and I had quite a few laughs with them.

These mense call me about 3 times a day...like clockwork. the first call is around 08:00, sometimes even at 07:30 and on Saturdays. Next call is around midday then a 14:30 check up call. With True caller I've stopped answering.
I have explained too many times to them that they are wrong about me owing money so I don't bother talking to any of them.
The calls come from DBN, JHB and even Potch.
MBD are relentless, a domestic that used to work for me 3 years ago used my number on some clothing account and didn't pay, they would call me daily like everyone else has mentioned, I told them she doesnt work for me and even gave them her number. Made no difference, still non stop. It is my secondary SIM so I've disabled inbound calls on it for over a year now, I still got SMSes about it until 18 November, I haven't received one since - haven't enabled inbound calls yet, scared they'll start again.

No reason for them to stop, (im speaking under correction, been a long time since I dealt with debt collectors as clients as Im not desperate for that dirty money) they can charge ~R25+ a call to the debtor's account, whether its the wrong number or not (as long as its the number they have on their "trace")
