A tenant I had died in 2018. As I found out from the letters of demand that arrived, she owed all over

Somehow MDB attorneys got hold of my number, I suspect from Council rates dept. They came on all serious and implied I would be in deep poo if I didn't pay them a substantial part of the deposit I was still holding.

I told the lady on the 5th call to go and suck eggs, I had paid someone else the money and there was none left (not true but what the hell)

That seemed to work

They would need a judgement and technicaly they would need to go against the estate of the deceased. No one can claim that tenants deposit save the estate.

Man these guys are a bunch of fscknuts.

I get at least 3 calls a day from them regarding a Woolworths account. I have never had one. No way I am giving my id number to them so i tune them my birthday, and they are like oh we have the wrong person. Fokken konte

I think these guys took quite a hit. They seem to have bought a lot of the Covid induced credit card debt from the banks with the intention of recovering it. For the banks, this was a win. They sold their debt at lower figures they new they couldn't recover and were rid of all the legal costs.

It seems that MBD, the suckers, are now running after any debt to recover some funds.
