From K4505:

Code:
at^syscfg=?
^SYSCFG:(2,13,14,16),(0-3),((2000004E80380,"All Bands"),(2000000400380,"GSM900/GSM1800/WCDMA900/WCDMA2100"),(4A80000,"GSM850/GSM1900/WCDMA850/WCDMA1900")),(0-2),(0-4)

at^syscfg?
^SYSCFG:14,2,2000000680380,0,0

Substitute : ( without the space inbetween in the obvious place above ;)

Thanks for beta9!
UMTS2100 only mode works with the K4505.

MDMA goes a little crazy when starting it up in this mode. Signal goes from -79 to -113 dBm, then nothing for a while, then something again. It does not show the tower ID but when I connect the signal stabilises and the tower ID is shown.

Getting ID's 44004 and 44006.

Thanks for the feedback.

In case it isn't clear, once you have switched bands on the modem it will remember that configuration. You don't have to use /HWBAND until you want to change the setting again.

OK, I have locked my K4605 to 900MHz UMTS, and have an external antenna connected. It is also back in the MR3420, and the whole setup is working quite well at the moment.

Of course this combination crashes from time to time, so I will see how it goes - hopefully TP-Link come to the party with better firmware !!!

Hi all.

I have a problem where i cant use mdma to connect. can someone plz help.

i am using the newest mdma version as of yesterday and Ive got the new cellc connector app. My modem is the mf 668 zte one.

Thanks
Schola

My friend's K4505 and MR3420 seems more stable on UMTS 900 only. It used to drop the connection, and more often when starting downloads. Downloaded over 1 GByte today so far on "UMTS900 only" and the connection is solid.

I also used to have lots of signal fluctuations, probably switching between 900 and 2100, but since switching to 900 only the signal is solid on 67% and hasn't moved in the last 2 hours.

ajax, unfortunately my signal is only 38%, so I still have crashes from the 3420 - although I am not sure that is the teason, it does not crash with the E1820.

should be added fitur "HSDPA ONLY" .. coz my provider if no internet traffic the conection will drop from HSDPA to 3G .. if get 3G the conection is iddle, causing i can't browsing again.. i must change to gprs/edge only first..
i'm using addons reload every to keep traffic, to keep the conection always HSDPA.. but its not helpful..

oh yeah..any tricks for increase QoS simcard??
my QoS upload n' download only 2048 .. i want upload download increase to 8Mb..
in my country simcard QoS 8Mb very expensive x6-x10 from normaly price..
thankz

I don't believe it is possible to set the modem to HSPA only. It is normal behaviour for the modem to switch from HSPA to 3G when the connection is idle.

It seems that the reported QoS values are determined by three things; the capabilities of your modem, the capabilities of the BTS and the profile assigned by your network operator. If your network operator is charging a premium for a faster service then I don't know of any way to increase the QoS without you having to pay for it.

Huawei E367

A friend of mine just bought the Huawei E367 at the 8ta shop. Using it for whoosh.

Code:
at^syscfg=?
^SYSCFG:(2,13,14,16),(0-3),((2000000400380,"GSM900/GSM1800/WCDMA900/WCDMA2100"),(280000,"GSM850/GSM1900"),(3fffffff,"All Bands")),(0-2),(0-4)

at^syscfg?
^SYSCFG:14,2,3FFFFFFF,1,2

I see you also use K4505. How you compare these two?

It looks 8ta version is 2-band WCDMA, while generic E367 is four-band.

i think my BTS is limited :(

Yes. Detects everything correctly, USSD works as well as dialling the connection.
Good to know, thanks.
Why, is the "support" accidental? ;)
Yup. :) I have tried to make MDMA as generic, and with as few exceptions for specific devices, as possible, so maybe it is by design then.

Does your E367 have an antenna connection, and if so, does it report the signal strength correctly?

Not mine unfortunately. Just briefly played with it while at work after I told my colleague to get one. Couldn't test the antenna connection.
