Hi there,

Im not sure if im posting in the correct forum, but want to know the following:

I have a plain old samsung HD ready tv 32"
at the back I have the 3 jacks , red, yellow and white
There is also an audio jack

I have Harman Kardon Soundsticks II connected to the audio jack
My DSTV is connected to the 3 colored jacks.

All sound plays through the HK
I can control the TV sound with the DSTV remote
The problem i have is with the audio when playing movies, I cannot control the audio LOL LOL
I have to get up and press the volume down button on the HK sounsticks LOL

If i further add and install a media player ex, the mede8er, will this solve my problem?

thanks in advance

Surely these things have HDMI?

If the audio system itself doesn't have a volume control then I doubt anything else is really going to change that.

When you say during Movies where do those come from? Surely if you can normally change the TV volume why can't you with movie specifically?

Pretty normal for your audio system to control it's volume independently, which is why they usually have remotes.

The HK Soundsticks are PC speakers; the Mede8er is for controlling video.

What you need is a home theatre audio system.
