Media Coding.

Ok, so I want to back up my dvd's (again ... I like double backups ok) but thought I'd make them all Avi, for space purposes. Tried Handbrake, every movie gets to about 150mb and then it makes the PC hang and I have to restart, so bleh @ Handbrake. So then I tried MediaCoder ..... did the job, but one movie took 14 hours And, it's in 8 parts (about 140mb each) Dunno why it took so long, was just a normal DVD > Xvid, not HD or anything.

So anyway, is there any explanation for that happening or any other App that I can use? As always, info is much appreciated


(Oh, and the PC specs are Dual Core 2.8 and 2 gigs RAM).

mencoder?
AFAIK, super uses mencoder (if you're on Windows and like a GUI interface). But I could be completely wrong

You can also try winavi hey meph, it costs like 30 dolla but well worth it.
