Hi Guys

im looking at a very basic Full HD Media Player..i dont need the fancy networking stuff, or that it must have a hard drive and so on. My budget is around R500. Im looking at the Baobab Cinamatrix and the Noontec V7. Baiscally also looking for something with a search function, where i can search my drives for a specific movie.

are those 2 brands any good, and what other options are out there. Like i said i just need one that plays all movie formats

Regards

Also take a look at the Egreat R6A-II. I thnk that the Baobab and the Sumvision use the Boxchip F10 processor which doesn't have any networking support. The Egreat uses the same Realtek RTD1185 processor that is used in the Mede8er 500X2, AC Ryan etc. which has much better media support and networking. The Egreat usually sells online (IkonicIT, ComX etc.) for ~R600 - just look on Pricecheck etc.

Cheapest option (~R550) ...
