Hi guys

I am trying to setup my Telkom Mega 105WR router for Remote/Web Access Control. I have created a DNS hostname with DynDNS and put the settings into the router. However the router has a further setting in which you specify the Remote Host IP and Remote Netmask. How can I specify these if they are dynamic? The DNS hostname works perfectly when I connect to it via the router's internet connection, however if I use a Vodacom internet connection it does not work. I just want to be able to access my router remotely with any other internet connection.

Any assistance will be much appreciated
Thanks:)
Ann

Hey there, I know that this is an old thread, but I've been trying doing the same and was wondering whether you were able to figure this out since your post? Or is there anyone else who might know?

I had the same problem trying to set up my folks router so I could access it away from home...
mrlgm007's solution didn't help me so I did some more searching and one forum recommended trying 0.0.0.0 for the remote netmask and now it is working fine!! See image for screenshot (taken via remote connection :D): http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/4651/f87a12ed0b964889849109f.png

You might want to sign up for a free account with DynDNS and plug those details into your router so you can access easier... no more ip's... then it would just be yournamehere.dyndns.org :D

Hope that helps someone one day....

I have the same problem, not even 0.0.0.0 works. Does anyone know how to get around this?
