Megsapp Feedback and Support Thread

I wouldn't have my main number with any of these Mvno's, they all operate like fly night businesses.

The reason they have such poor support is good support costs a lot of money and provides very little return so many scaly modern businesses radically reducing their support infrastructure because it boosts profits and they couldn't care less if a few customers fall into the cracks.

This situation is completely unacceptable.


We’ve ported a number to an Megsapp and despite being told that “everything is fine” and the port was successful, that is clearly not the case. My partner has been completely offline—her FNB SIM no longer works, and the new eSIM doesn’t either.


To make matters worse, there’s effectively no support. I went through the same issue with my own port and only received a callback after 24 hours. This time? Nothing.


@Smiggles has also confirmed that the support experience is poor.


So what are we supposed to do now? There’s no connectivity, no updates, and no real way to escalate the issue.

When did you initiate the port?
 
5pm yesterday. is it going to happen with every number now?
because another family member want to join and I advised him not to anymore.
I also want to Rica another 2 sims for my tablet and 4g dongle.
I understand I need to RICA all of them separately, but not sure why it is such a mission.
 
But I got a message port was successful.
I suspects it's a Rica issue, also she is no longer on FNB
 
Don’t T&C’s always say porting can take 24-48 hours?

That’s how it used to be anyway.
 
Does anyone know how to permanently block incoming calls on the megsapp SIM?

Call forwarding doesn't work. Call baring doesn't work.

Tired of the daily spam calls, sometimes 2-3x a day.

Can't that only be done by the device itself, if at all?
 
Why is dealing with their support near impossible, not once have I gotten assistance without drawing the issue out with crayon.

Because near all these mnvo's have barebones support to ensure they maximise profits, too bad if you need help..
 
Transfer data in app is broken it just loads. Can't wait to port away to Capitec Connect.
Another one bites the dust, how does Capitec data prices compare and what network do they run on?
 
I'm done with these clowns, I'll find an alternative, even if its paying more.

Today, tried to topup data - twice it says transaction failed - then they proceed to charge my credit card twice and allocate double the data. (which I definetely won't be needed)

Getting support is like being dragged across nails - they are unbelievable useless.

I did that. Luckily you don't lose your data / profile so I just transfer it 5gb at a time to a secondary Megsapp esim I use. Pity because I did waste a bunch of data thinking I'll lose it all lol. Ah well.
