Melkbosstrand (Duynefontein) Slow speeds

I have been experiencing slow line speeds ever since I moved here a few years back. My Isp is axxess and i am currently paying for a 1 mbps line which i never seem to get. This is unacceptable as i expect to get what I pay for. I Have sent countless emails to telkom and had it tested,noise is 55db on the line which is pathetic its obviously exchange related...I dont know what to do anymore as telkom doesnt seem to think much about my problem.

What speed does it sync at? Have you tried another isp? I had slow speeds for ages but it sorted itself out months ago. In my case seems WA upgraded their capacity. I couldn't figure it out as both WA and AH was slow from 6-10 PM. Telkom said my exchange is not congested. I'm in Van Riebeeck btw.

No i dont think the problem is with the isp as telkom did inform us that the exchange is too far. I get mixed results with speedtest.net at certain times of the day.Just did a test on this sites speed test got 0.23 mbps. I honestly dont know why telkom doesnt just build a mini exchange of sorts. The fibre network runs staright past us why they dont connect it i will never know
