No you didn't ask for more info. You asked me to back up that they even said the claim in the first place, with another source.

A very unreasonable and unrealistic thing to ask considering this is a spinoff of a story from a main theme and so unlikely to be covered by many or any other news agencies.

No, I asked if you had another source. There's a a difference in what I asked and what you assumed.

To be honest, I've felt like a target late at night standing at the bus stop waiting for the myciti bus so I understand how they feel.
Basically, if you know the bus comes at 23:00, then you leave the classroom and walk to the bus stop to be there at 23:00. If you have to wait 15 minutes on your own at the bus stop, you are an easy target, it's not that hard to figure this out.

Except the Jammie stop at Hiddingh is right in the middle of the tiny campus.

They are lucky the bus even runs that late. It even didn't run after 19:00 just last year and now its running until 23:30; and they don't even pay for it. There is also a system that tracks Jammies and gives you live updates of their scheduled times.

Not to mention their are security guards present at all times on campus.

UCT has been more than reasonable in their attempts to keep students safe and using the tardiness complaint as a reason for shutting down a university is beyond ridiculous.
