Messed up situation...

This is what happened:

Wife meets OP and wife sees OP is shy, introverted and thinks I can take advantage here and have the security of a husband and the fun of one night stands all at the same time.. Let's tell future hubby that we should have an open relationship, he would probably not get other girls, being all shy and what not..

Fast forward to this thread and wife suddenly realises that hubby can be a player if he wants and the jealousy rages....

So your wife bangs other guys, but does not want you to see other women. She will never tell you not to bang other ladies because then she will have to stop as well.

She is mid twenties, I am late thirties... She is currently unemployed (was retrenched along with me and have not been able to find work yet).... I think I know where you are going with this, have wondered about it myself... Have not spent any real money on her yet, apart from the one night out, did promise to take her to buy her a gift for her birthday on the first day she stood me up... So not entirely sure that this might be her motivation for seeing me, but cant rule it out altogether either.

Nope, the idea is to be purely physical, but it is to be expected that some feelings might arise, but our relationship is primary and our partners needs are put first, that was the main reason I ended it immediately when my wife asked. She has also ended her "friendships" previously when I disliked the guy for some reason.

I now of a couple like you. Lots of guys hooked up with her, once one finds out he tells others.
Your wife is feeling old, and you with a younger woman, obviously she would start feeling inadequate, had this happened 10 years ago she wouldn’t care as much.
You should have had your fun whilst she was having her fun.

If she really was into this open relationships, knowing that he is shy, she should have organised females for him to shag, failing that just do the swinging with couples only.
