Who cares how well/bad he played. One of the few South Africans to play in the EPL.

"Benni McCarthy received a second yellow against West Brom earlier this season for doing this on the halfway line. That wasn't even a story, so I can't understand why is. If it is enough for players from other teams to be sent off for it, then it is enough for Ronaldo and Man U too. "

"under the rules of the famous 'RESPECT campaign' ronaldo should have received his 2nd yellow the second he displayed childish petulent dissent by clapping at the ref and walked away making hand gestures towards the ref as if to 'shoo' him away. all those thinking he shouldn't have walked for the handball you're right, he shouldn't have even been on the pitch when he did it, and the ref showed utter leniency letting him get away with it. Just shows the refs bias towards ManUre."

"I dont understand all the fuss. If it was a deliberate handball - then it is a yellow. Why did he put his hand up - either to hit the ball or to protect his face - both acts would fall within the definition of "deliberate".
lol not only is football365 a joke of a footy site but their own readers dont agree with the nonsense they publish.
Webb was left with no choice but to give Ronaldo his second yellow card after the forward somewhat bizarrely jumped and palmed the ball away following a United corner rather than heading it.
Perhaps he would attract less negative attention if just occasionally he could admit he was human and, like the rest of us, gets the occasional thing, like a handball for example, wrong.
Please... all you people are insane! Ronaldo should not have been sent off. He was protecting his face, which is earning him money and that according to FIFA Code, Chapter 4, Paragraph 5, Line 7, bullet point no. 6 clearly states... "If a football player that relies on his looks to make money needs to protect his face, then so be it... who are we to argue".
Looking at the stats, I must admit, Messi is the most decesive player any team could have. 12 goals, and 11 assists in 19 games
Please explain as I know nothing about Soccer other than SA is getting the SWC in 2010.I agree with the post that was deleted!![]()
Just found this article: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/gabriele_marcotti/12/03/cristiano.ronaldo/index.html
Pretty good.
There are new quotes flying around which hint that Cristiano Ronaldo's time at the Theatre of Dreams is more like a nightmare...
XL Canal have quoted Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo as saying that he cannot get used to Manchester - a city he dislikes.
"Even the strongest men in the world - including legends such as Hercules - fall over at times.
"I am part of this group. Players with superior skills are more prone to be fouled."
this is true... look at the match between barca and valencia... messi was fouled countless times... guess it's a way of letting them know they are the danger man and should be targeted!"I am part of this group. Players with superior skills are more prone to be fouled."
