Spot the difference. Was a big advocate of RAIN 5G "premium" when it came around, but as time progressed it became an absolute **** show! Two months later and they still haven't picked up equipment. Currently on 500/500 profile with MF who also installed backbone. Couldn't be happier with service.

Have you tried a different server?
Yeah, i did, thanks.Have you tried a different server?
Been struggling with this for the last week as well. Am lucky if I get 0.2 mbps downloadYeah, i did, thanks.
Seems Afrihost is unable to assist customers when there are these sort of issues.
Connected directly to ONT, same speed test results, all details sent to them.
Now i have been asked to hard reset router, not sure if they hoping the issue will just go away?
ISP also Afrihost?Been struggling with this for the last week as well. Am lucky if I get 0.2 mbps download
Yep, infact I just connected directly to the ONT and was required to activate again for some reason. Ran a speed test and got 7mbps download. Reset the ONT once more and now I'm getting the advertised download and upload speeds.ISP also Afrihost?
My issue is intermittent, glad that worked for you.Yep, infact I just connected directly to the ONT and was required to activate again for some reason. Ran a speed test and got 7mbps download. Reset the ONT once more and now I'm getting the advertised download and upload speeds.
I'm quarter-to jumping ship..Can the guys that switch over from Afrihost 50/50 to Metrofibre 250/250 provide some feedback over the coming month as to the reliability of the connectivity and the download/upload speeds they're getting on it.
I hate to have to consider leaving AH. I've had almost zero issues on them for over 2 years, and AfriNatic has truly been a superhero on here whenever there has been an issue. That speed difference however is significant enough for it to be looked at, and it really does not feel great having to pay more for the same speeds.
Going to 400 and back to 50 has caused more pain tbh
Why not spend R100 more and upgrade? Can the guys that switch over from Afrihost 50/50 to Metrofibre 250/250 provide some feedback over the coming month as to the reliability of the connectivity and the download/upload speeds they're getting on it.

Still silence treatment from Cool Ideas regarding any changes.Anybody on 100mb got their upgraded speeds yet?
Not even sure how its legal for an open network FNO to have it's own ISP with special benefits. Where is Vumatel ISP, or Frogfoot ISP, or Octotel ISP?How is it possible that metrofibre charge R2 more than Afrihost 50/50 for 5 times the speed

Do Vox and RSAWeb have different deals?Frogfoot is Vox and Octotel is RSAWeb. Vuma is the only one that isn't competing in the ISP space.
