Meyer set to coach Boks

I hope Meyer does not bring his Bulls type rugby to the Springbok setup, then we up for failure and wish Mitchell was in charge.

The Bulls rugby is probably the perfect type to win you World Cups, but the question as always will be if the fans/board will be patient to watch that dull rugby until the next tournament comes along.

Sorry Stevie what other province's rugby has won more throphies in the last 7 years? O and BTW which team has won by the biggest margin in a Super final? Which team has won by the biggest margin in a must win match to secure a home semi?

People care for winning rugby. The mighty All Blacks even admitted last year that winning is all that matters and that they will grind it out if it means they finnish tops.

Winning is dull? Since when?

Lol, well said. I am all for seeing great running rugby and a lot of tries. But I will take a WC and two tri nations titles in 4 years over a 70/30 winning ratio any day.

we have so much talent thats being wasted in the type of rugby that has been installed into the players. John Mitchell would have shown the Boks a new dimension in the type of rugby we play and be very versatile and adapt to certain styles. just look at the Lions.

Correct on both accounts. The boks must play lions type rugby.

:erm: ok so the man wins a Currie Cup and you want to make him coach of the SA team?

Why not make Naka or Plumtree coach as they have also both won a Currie cup iirc.

Stevie G you are a fountain of knowledge I think they should have made you springbok coach.
