I have often thought about what happens to your online persona once you die. This is very surreal with people feeling personally sad about a person that they have never met irl.

This must be a growing phenomenon.

I think that this shows that you can emotionally touch a lot of random people without physically have contact with them.

It's not a new phenomenon though. People have had emotional connections to their favorite bands, movie stars and TV personalities for decades without ever interacting with them.

At least on this level, our interaction with him was more personal.

I agree, but my point is that he was not a well known brand outside of the forum. Just another normal guy speaking *** with us.

Wrong. He was very involved in his community in PE.
No, I am not speaking about real life, I am speaking about the online community. Most of us respected and enjoyed his banter but did not not know him.

Make no mistake, it was cold..... a late winter kinda coldness.....

The Moose had just finished his shift across the road at the local Spar, The mist crushing down on the isolated town for at least the past three hours....... The Darkness entrenching her morbid cloak apon the township, the once warm surrounding desert dunes embracing her dark and cold wrap.......

The fire down at the local bowling club had been good, the meat cremated to perfection by the local braaimaster, the surrounding nightly sprayer clicking away in the dark night, ejecting her life giving vapor towards the yellow grass....

Moose, he stood there, alone whilst the duo's conversed......... ice cold Windhoek draught clasped between his shivering fingers, he stood and once again, as he had during multiple times this day, he raised his damp glass towards the South East Sky and recalled his friend he never met....

I second this. The most permanent infraction in MyBB's history.

Guy helped me with some Telkom issues, never met him and yet sadness over hearing this. Gentle rest to you sir, thanks for being a gent.
