But I cannot download a car and drive it.Cars are also too expensive but still does not justify theft.
I'm not justifying theft/piracy(Whatever). I can live without Win7 and MSOffice, but cannot live without a car.

I suspect it is insignificant. With over 30% of software being pirated in South Africa, the impact on legitimate resellers is significant says Microsoft SA
There is no theft involved in a person violating copyright by using a copy without paying. I doubt many of the people using copies they didn't pay for broke into a shop and stole a disc or raided Microsoft and too their only copy of the source code. Those things are actual theft.Cars are also too expensive but still does not justify theft.
You joke... but its becoming topical now.
With 3d printers its possible to create copies of physical objects, meaning that you could create an exact replica and there for infringe on the intellectual property of the designer.
In theory it would be possible for you to take a part a car and scan every part of that car, and then make copies.
If the digital designs of the car were put on the internet you would then be able to "download" that car.
Very true... in another ten years it might just be such a threat!
How much do 3D printers cost now?
I am almost sure I saw one for around 30 K.
What? Are you telling me you guys are gonna download physical objects off the interwebz? Or print out human beings?

Legitimate Microsoft resellers are losing millions of rands a month to rogue dealers selling unlicensed software at cut-throat prices.
